Strategic Planning
Objectives, strategies, tactics. You want to
get to Denver by Thursday night (objective), you're going to drive
(strategy), you're renting an Avis Chevrolet, acquiring maps from
the AAA and are staying at the Sheraton in Salt Lake City (tactics).
We know the difference. And we don't send a tactic to do a strategy's
job. Whether we're working with you on a total annual program or
a single project, our first questions are going to be "What exactly
do you want to accomplish? What do you want to have happen? What
do you want to see change?" We'll then recommend strategies to get
you to your objectives. And finally, if desired, we'll suggest marketing
communications tactics that will help carry out those strategies.
If we feel you can't reach the objectives you have set with marketing
communications strategies, we'll say so and recommend other courses
of action. If we think you can't get there at all, we'll tell you
that, too.
